Zofia Kozak, MD

Zofia Kozak, MD is a psychiatrist at The Retreat by Sheppard Pratt, where she provides patient-centered care in a therapeutic, residential setting. She completed medical school and psychiatry residency at the University of Maryland/Sheppard Pratt. Dr. Kozak completed a post-baccalaureate research fellowship at the National Institutes of Health (NIH) and is the lead author on several peer-reviewed publications. Her research focuses on emerging, innovative treatments for mood and substance use disorders, with a particular emphasis on psilocybin and MDMA-assisted therapies. Dr. Kozak has worked in a range of clinical settings, including the psychiatric ER and specialized inpatient units, allowing her to treat a wide range of psychiatric conditions with a focus on collaborative treatment approaches. She completed a psychotherapy fellowship through the Washington Baltimore Center for Psychoanalysis and sees outpatients for evaluations, consultations, and clinical management.
