Dr. Yakir Vaks is the service chief of the adult co-occurring disorders unit at Sheppard Pratt’s Towson campus. Prior to this role, Dr. Vaks served as an adult psychiatrist specializing in addiction medicine. He completed his residency at Bergen Regional Medical Center, and completed his fellowship in addiction psychiatry at the Perelman School of Medicine at University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Vaks earned his MD at St. George’s University School of Medicine, and is board certified in general psychiatry and Addiction medicine.
