Tom Sumser, LCSW-C

Tom Sumser, LCSW-C, is the supervisor of the outpatient mental health center in Gaithersburg, MD. He received his master’s in social work from the University of Michigan. Sumser has also received extensive post-graduate training in structural family therapy and motivational interviewing. Sumser has over 30 years’ experience in working with children, adolescents, adults, and families in a variety of clinical settings, including outpatient mental health centers, psychiatric hospitals, family services agencies, and private practice. He has extensive experience working with diverse client populations and has expertise in co-occurring disorders.
