Michael C. Hann, MD, MBA, MS, CPE, FACHE, FAPA is chief of medical staff at Sheppard Pratt. He joined Sheppard Pratt from Brook Lane Health Services, where he served as chief medical officer and spearheaded the development of transcranial magnetic stimulation (TMS) services, the launch of an innovative high acuity residential crisis pilot program for youth, and expanded psychiatric inpatient bed capacity.

Dr. Hann earned his MD from the FIU Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine, where he was the first MD/MBA graduate in the institution’s history. He completed his residency in psychiatry at the Naval Medical Center San Diego, where he was honored as a Laughlin Fellow by the American College of Psychiatry. Reflecting his commitment to ongoing executive development, he completed both the Executive Development Program and General Management Program at The Wharton School.

Dr. Hann is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives, a Fellow of the American Psychiatric Association, a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and a Certified Physician Executive as awarded by the American Association for Physician Leadership. He has been awarded as a 2024 Young Professional of the Year by the Washington County Chamber of Commerce; 2023 Physician of the Year by The Daily Record; and during his military service, was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Marine Corps Commendation Medal and Achievement Medal, and the Humanitarian Service Medal, among others.
