Marina Cecchini, MPA, is an experienced hospital executive with experience in psychiatry, addictions, physical medicine and rehabilitation, home care and medical-surgical hospitals. She is the Chief Administrative Officer for the Sheppard Pratt - Baltimore/Washington Campus. She has previously served as the CEO of UF Health Rehab Hospital and as the Administrator of UF Health Shands Psychiatric Hospital, the Florida Recovery Center and UF Health Shands Rehab Hospital. She has expertise in operational management, business development strategy and leadership development.
As an advocate for mental health, she has served in leadership roles on both the local and national level as past president of the National Association of Psychiatric Health Systems, Founding President of the Mental Health Coalition of North Central Florida, past chair of the Psychiatric Council of the Florida Hospital Association and as a member of the Alachua County Healthcare Advisory Board and Community Health Planning Committee. Additionally, she chaired the Florida Governor’s workgroup on behavioral health in Alachua County and has served on the Technical Advisory Panel for Medicare behavioral health quality standards. She served on the board of Lutheran Health Services, the managing entity for the Florida Department of Children and Families for Northeastern Florida. She earned a M.P.A. in Health Policy and Management from the Wagner School of Public Service at New York University and a B.S. from Utica College of Syracuse University.
