Charles Joseph Schneiderhan, MS, Family PMHNP-BC, CRNP, is a nurse practitioner at Sheppard Pratt. He earned his bachelor’s degree from Allegheny College, followed by a degree in acting from The Julliard School. Schneiderhan then obtained a Bachelor of Science in nursing and a master’s degree in family psychiatric/mental health nursing from the University of Maryland School of Nursing. Before coming to Sheppard Pratt, he worked as a psychiatric nurse at Johns Hopkins Hospital, and a psychiatric nurse practitioner for Cornerstone Montgomery Community Psychiatry, the Department of Veterans Affairs Baltimore Hospital, Chase Brexton Health Care, Cityblock Healthcare, and Pathways to Housing DC. Schneiderhan has also used his training in psychiatric nursing to volunteer extensively, including for Maryland Responds Medical Reserve Corps, Torture Abolition Survivors Support Coalition International, Physicians for Human Rights Asylum Program, and American Red Cross’ Disaster Service.
