Breanna Kelz, PMHNP, is a psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner with Sheppard Pratt’s Psychiatric Inpatient Consult Service at GBMC. She earned an associate degree from Carroll Community College, a bachelor’s degree from Towson University, and a master of science in nursing from Eastern Kentucky University. Along with her psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner license and registered nursing license, she is certified in basic life support for healthcare providers. Kelz has won a number of awards including the DAISY award for extraordinary nurses, the Service Excellence Shining Star from Johns Hopkins Hospital, and the L. Roland Sturm Scholars Award. She was also inducted into the Honor Society of Nursing, Sigma Theta Tau International, and is a member of the American Psychiatric Nurses Association. Before coming to Sheppard Pratt, Kelz worked as a registered nurse in the Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, Inpatient Adult Psychiatry Unit, and Psychiatric Emergency Department at The Johns Hopkins Hospital, and as a registered nurse on the Inpatient Adult/Adolescent Psychiatry Unit at Carroll Hospital.
