Allyson June Kemp, MS, FPMHNP, is a psychiatric nurse practitioner on the trauma unit at Sheppard Pratt’s hospital campus in Towson. She earned her master’s degree as a Family Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner from the State University of New York at Upstate Medical University, where she also completed her fellowship as a psychiatric nurse practitioner. She was the valedictorian speaker at her master’s degree graduation and awarded the SUNY Upstate Psychiatry Department Award for Excellence.
Kemp is a buprenorphine certified practitioner and has taken courses for psychiatrists on dialectical behavioral therapy and motivational interviewing. As a psychiatric nurse practitioner, she’s worked for a number of outpatient clinics throughout NY, as well as in the emergency departments, and the adult and pediatric psychiatry units at SUNY Upstate Hospital.
