Sheppard Pratt Frederick Turkey Trot 2024

1 - Are strollers allowed? 

Yes, this is a kid-friendly and stroller-friendly event. Bicycles are not permitted. 

2 - Are children required to register? 

Children age 2 and under aren’t required to register. Children who will be in strollers are also not required to register. However, only those who register will receive race shirts.   

3 - Are dogs permitted? 

No. We ask that you please leave your pets at home.  

4 - Where do I park for the race? 

We encourage people to make use of the three parking decks that are within three blocks of the start/finish area. Court Street, W. Patrick Street, and E. Church Street are all great options. There is no parking permitted in the start/finish area on 2nd Street, College Avenue, or the park-side of Carroll Parkway (across from Parkway Elementary School). 

5 - What happens if there’s inclement weather?  

We race rain or shine. We are unable to provide any refunds. 

6 - Will water be provided for participants? 

There will not be a water station on the course. We suggest that you bring your own water bottle to the start line filled, and ready to go if needed. Water and snacks will be provided at the finish line for race participants.  

7 - Where do I find race results? 

At the top of the RunSignUp page here, you will see the ‘Results’ tab. Select the correct distance and type in your bib number or name to see results.  

8 - When is the cut off for registration? 

Online registration closes November 26, 11:59 p.m. ET; November 27 on-site registration at packet pickup only. Registration will not be available on race day (November 28). 

9 - When/where is packet pickup? 

Please see below for all information regarding packet pickup.

10 - When will I receive my packet if I opted in for shipping? 

Registrants that selected the shipping option (need to register by October 28 for shipping) should expect to receive their packet(s) the week of November 18. If you do not receive your packet(s) by the end of the week, please email turkeytrot@sheppardpratt.org.  

11 - Will there be an award ceremony after the race? 

There will not be an award ceremony. There will be a table with medals for the winners. Awards are for the 5K only. Awards will be given to the top overall male, female, and non-binary winner, as well as the top three male and female runners in the following age groups: 9 and under, 10-12, 13-15, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70 and older.  

12 - Will my award be mailed to me if I am unable to pick up after the race? 

Yes, we will ship medals to those that are unable to pick up after the race.
