Sheppard Pratt Names Claudia E. Keenan as Vice President and Chief Development Officer

Sheppard Pratt has recently named Claudia E. Keenan as its new vice president and chief development officer. In her role, she will plan and direct all aspects of Sheppard Pratt’s fundraising initiatives including fundraising strategies focused on longevity and the growth of Sheppard Pratt’s corporate partnerships and donor portfolio. 

Keenan will also spearhead the organization’s ongoing efforts to develop large-scale, impactful events, such as the Imagine event and the Sheppard Pratt Frederick Turkey Trot, to fundraise for new programs and life-saving care.

Keenan has extensive development experience in national nonprofit insituations, hospitals, a Fortune 100 corporation and the academic medical community. Her most recent leadership roles include senior director of leadership giving at GBMC, senior vice president for advancement and communications at Bennington College, and senior vice president of institutional advancement at Mercy Health Services, among others. 

She holds a BA in Communications and Economics from Randolph-Macon Woman's College. She has taught as an adjunct professor in marketing at New York University’s MFA Graduate Program in Arts Administration, and served as a worldwide lecturer in arts marketing for organizations that include Opera America Conferences,Yale and Drew Universities, and an International Forum in Madrid.
