Sheppard Pratt’s Marketing Team Earns Gold in Healthcare Advertising Awards; Aster Awards
Sheppard Pratt Health System’s marketing team is rounding out advertising awards season with six recognitions—receiving four wins in the 34th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, and two wins in the 2017 Aster Awards. Both the Healthcare Advertising Awards and the Aster Awards are among the oldest, largest, and most widely respected healthcare advertising awards competitions in the nation.
In order to determine winners, a national panel of judges in each competition reviewed entries for execution, creativity, quality, consumer appeal and overall breakthrough advertising content. This year more than 5,000 entries were received for each competition.
In the 34th Annual Healthcare Advertising Awards, Sheppard Pratt Health System was recognized across four different categories for a variety of marketing communications:
- Gold, Employee Communication Program: This award was received for Trivedi’s Travel Blog, which tracked Sheppard Pratt Health System’s new president and CEO, Dr. Harsh K. Trivedi, as he traveled across the health system visiting its many programs in the summer of 2016.
- Gold, Public Relations Program: This award was granted for media coverage on the announcement of Dr. Harsh K. Trivedi as Sheppard Pratt Health System’s new president and CEO. Coverage spanned both local and national news outlets, and included both mainstream and healthcare publications.
- Bronze, Magazine Advertisement-Single Ad: This award recognizes a print advertisement announcing Sheppard Pratt Health System’s 26th-consecutive year ranking as top national psychiatric hospital by U.S. News & World Report.
- Merit, Direct Mail: This award is in recognition of a direct mail advertisement outlining the benefits offered by The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt.
In the 2017 Aster Awards, Sheppard Pratt was honored in two categories:
- Gold, Direct Mail: This award is in recognition of a direct mail advertisement outlining the benefits offered by The Retreat at Sheppard Pratt.
- Silver, Magazine: This award was granted for Heal magazine, Sheppard Pratt’s quarterly publication that shares stories from across the health system.
“It’s wonderful for my team to receive this recognition in such well-respected, national competitions,” said Jessica Kapustin, Director of Marketing and Public Relations for Sheppard Pratt Health System. “Marketing and communications are such integral components to the success of any health system. We are thrilled to have the opportunity to communicate the important and lifesaving work that goes on here each day, and to help support Sheppard Pratt’s reputation as a leader in the mental health space.”
