Sheppard Pratt Ranks Among Best in Nation for 27th Consecutive Year
For the 27th consecutive year, Sheppard Pratt Health System has been ranked among the top hospitals in the country for psychiatry by U.S. News and World Report. After analyzing more than 5,000 hospitals, the results from U.S. News and World Report released today place Sheppard Pratt in the No. 6 spot overall, and the No. 1 spot as the top free-standing psychiatric hospital in the country.
This announcement comes as Sheppard Pratt Health System President and CEO, Dr. Harsh K. Trivedi, MD, MBA, marks the end of his first landmark year leading the health system, which employs over 5,000 staff members and provides more than 2.3 million services on an annual basis to individuals from 42 states and seven countries worldwide.
Among the 5,000 hospitals examined by U.S. News and World Report, just 55 received nominations for their work in psychiatry. These 55 hospitals were then ranked based on both reputation and U.S. News and World Report survey results submitted by psychiatric specialists from across the nation.
