Adolescent Mood Disorders Unit

The adolescent mood disorders unit is a safe and secure 22-bed inpatient unit specially designed for adolescents ages 12 through 17 of all genders with anxiety disorders, trauma disorders, and other mood disorders.

Our focus is on safety and stabilization. We seek to provide a therapeutic environment for those in crisis. In our care, patients experience a warm, supportive, and welcoming environment and are encouraged to communicate openly about their problems.

Our unit is purposefully designed to respect adolescents of different genders and sexual orientations. Potential patients are screened to ensure they are appropriate for this unique unit.

We treat adolescents with a variety of behavioral challenges and diagnoses on our unit; many have mood disorders like depression and anxiety, trauma disorders, gender dysphoria, or other psychiatric conditions.
