Disability Services

Disability services are services, programs, and accommodations provided to individuals with disabilities to help them receive access or the opportunity to participate in services and programs. Disability services commonly include housing, accessible living, education, transportation, employment, money management, technology assistance, and more. In Maryland, the Maryland Department of Disabilities (MDOD) coordinates the provision of services and programs to and for individuals with disabilities by working with government and quasi-government agencies. MDOD provides individuals in Maryland with programs and services that address their needs and promote independence and community living. MDOD also provides advocacy and support to individuals with disability.
