Core Services Agency

Each county in Maryland has a Core Services Agency (CSA) that exists under the authority of the Secretary of the Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. CSAs are agents of the county government, which approve their organizational structure. The CSAs are local mental health authorities responsible for planning, managing, and monitoring public mental health services at the local level. CSAs work with other agencies to provide services for individuals who have significant needs.
