Overview:

We understand the importance of discussing drugs and sex with our kids, but gaming and gambling are frequently overlooked as risky behaviors among youth. This presentation will cover basic facts and trends in youth gaming and gambling, including the warning signs of potential addiction. You'll also hear a personal story of gambling recovery and consider strategies to prevent young people from experiencing similar challenges. We’ll discuss effective methods for initiating conversations about gaming and gambling behaviors with the young people in your family or those under your care and explore available resources for support.

Learning Objectives:

At the conclusion of this workshop, attendees will be able to:

  1. Recall the basic facts and trends of youth gambling and gambling.
  2. Discuss the warning signs of youth gambling and gaming addiction.
  3. Identify resources for gaming and gambling help.
