Our Team of Clinical Experts

The Retreat by Sheppard Pratt provides a place of healing and hope for adults facing challenges. When you come to our residential treatment center for counseling and rehabilitation, you have access to expert psychiatrists, psychologists, nurses, therapists, and other experienced mental health providers, all dedicated to your care.

Our Doctors

Experienced doctors are fully involved in every aspect of programming at The Retreat. Each resident works individually with a doctor who is an expert psychotherapist, and who leads his or her individual treatment team as the primary mental health care provider. The resident will have the opportunity to meet individually with their doctor multiple times per week, in addition to other sessions with experts in multiple areas of therapy.

In addition, doctors are integrated into the group therapy programs at The Retreat, co-leading a variety of the groups from psychodynamics to psychoeducation. Our doctors are not simply consultants; they are a core part of the treatment team, lending their high level of expertise and experience to all levels of the resident’s treatment.

Our team has experience treating residents who face more than one mental illness. And, with a large team dedicated to serving 22 residents, we ensure that each person receives the individual, intensive support they need.

Residents at The Retreat have access to a wide range of traditional and adjunct therapies, including psychoanalysis, addiction treatment, and activity therapy such as rock climbing and yoga.
