Our offerings include:
Opioid Treatment Program: The Hub
Our new opioid treatment program is located at Sheppard Pratt’s flagship campus in Towson, Md. We provide:
- Urgent assessments
- Integrated mental health and substance use care, including traditional intensive outpatient services and outpatient substance use services
- Medication-assisted treatment, including Suboxone and methadone treatment
Our opioid addiction treatment approach addresses both substance use problems and mental health conditions. When both issues are treated at the same time, clients have a much higher likelihood of ongoing recovery.
Our Services
Integrated Substance Use Treatment and Mental Health Care
Our team initiates both Medication-Assisted Treatment and therapy services. By providing both of these services in one location, we help our clients address both their opioid addiction and any underlying mental health conditions such as bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, anxiety, and depression. We offer both traditional intensive outpatient services as well as outpatient substance use services.
Medication-Assisted Treatment: Suboxone and Methadone Treatment
Suboxone and methadone are medications that are frequently used to treat opioid use disorder. When taken as prescribed, they are safe and effective ways of treating opioid use disorder. At Sheppard Pratt’s opioid clinic, we prescribe Suboxone and methadone to clients and offer convenient hours for dosing.
Case Management
We help clients access the services they need to survive and thrive. This may include assistance accessing transportation and housing, connections to wrap-around employment services, and more.
Peer Support
Peer support specialists are people who have been successful in their recovery – they help clients stay active and engaged in recovery. When clients work with peer support specialists, they have a stronger likelihood of success and reduced rates of relapse.
Through our opioid clinic ‘hub’, we help high-risk clients get started with opioid addiction treatment and stabilize, and get access to the lower levels of care they need for long-term maintenance.
Our Substance Use Treatment Team
Our multidisciplinary treatment team includes:
- A psychiatrist specializing in addiction medicine
- Chemical dependency counselors
