Linkages to Learning is a comprehensive, school-based prevention and intervention program providing a continuum of health, social, and community services to children and their families directly in the school setting. Located in eight elementary and middle schools in Montgomery County, Maryland, we help families secure needed resources and navigate the complexities of the behavioral health and social service systems.
In partnership with Montgomery County Public Schools and the Montgomery County Department of Health and Human Services, our experienced, compassionate team of family and child therapists, family case managers, and community school coordinators provide support to the children and families in several Montgomery County elementary and middle schools. Through our extensive offerings, our team members are able to assist families and students with services and resources that benefit them in school, at home, and in their communities.
Our Impact
Having Linkages to Learning integrated into schools is an asset to the community. By working directly with the schools, we meet the needs of children and families, lowering the barriers to academic and community success.
Our program is trauma-informed, helping maintain a calm and safe environment for growth. We meet our students and families at their level, both at school and in their homes where they are comfortable. Our services are multi-cultural so our families can communicate effectively and take advantage of all that we have to offer.
Families living in communities served by Linkages to Learning benefit greatly by all that Linkages to Learning has to offer.
Parents take advantage of offerings like ESOL, GED, and parenting classes, conveniently offered in the evening and complete with free childcare. Their children enjoy numerous after-school activities like soccer clinics and summer camps. But Linkages is more than programs. We meet as many needs as
